In February, our store of mobility equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) had to leave the disused factory in the Dean that we had occupied for nearly 7 years. Without any other local accessible stores available in Alresford, much of the Hospital type equipment has had to be donated to other charities and NHS support services. The remaining walkers and wheelchairs are now stored in another disused factory unit, which unfortunately will not be manned on a regular basis.
Requests for any of this equipment can still be made, by phone, to the Pigs helpline, or by email using the email address below. Where appropriate we will then follow these up with home visits. Donated equipment is still very much needed when no longer required by the user, and will be accepted if it can be delivered to the Alresford Men’s Shed premises in the Dean, which is now in the old Butlers Accountants building opposite the Dean Arms. If this is not possible, please contact us by phone or email, to arrange collection.
