We are a group of local people that organise fund raising events and use any funds raised for local needs within the community.
We have approximately 36 members and welcome new members. Joining is straight forward,
- You must live and/or work in our area
- Be proposed by a current member
- Be interviewed by the current Chairman
- Be accepted by the current members
Members attend monthly meetings, assist at and organise events, manage applications for funding or assistance. We also organise a number of social events throughout the year.
How we raise funds
We organise and run various events in the community throughout the year, such as biennial duck race.
How we spend the funds
Each request is evaluated on it’s own merit and can be something as small as helping someone with a school trip, or help funding a local community project.
We also do Mobility
If you’re in need of a mobility aid, either short, or long term, we may be able to help. We often have wheelchairs, scooters and other useful aids, so why not get in touch?
